Five levels late, but still one kick-ass moment.
Like I had said, I’d probably hit 45 before getting my mount; 100xp into 45 I had enough to buy my whistle. In retrospect I wish I had started saving sooner as going for those five levels without a mount made me feel naked. Meh, at least the infamous hurdle is over and I did it all by myself. With that out of the way I can feel free to level as fast as I want to (or as my cash-flow allows to upgrade).

Had to move around my windows for the GypsyUImod. Full Size
Upgrading our UI seems to be all the rage in the Drunken Monkey Klan right now. Most of us are now using Cosmos, but I decided to check the GypsyUI out. So far I can’t complain, it definitely provides a “richer” gameplay experience. Also installed Telo’s Itembuff mod considering I use poisons as a rogue. I wish that particular mod was a little more compact, but I suppose I could always try tinkering around with it.

Sums up my week …
Outside of WoW I have slowly but surely been getting more into playing Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. I played Going Commando but those exceptionally annoying space-shooting bits made me put the game down. This time around the space shooting seems to have been replaced by the Captain Quark comic bits, but at least you’re not getting instantly hosed by 40 fighters that are immediately behind you as you start.
One thing I have noticed is that Insomniac likes to not give you health when you need it, and plenty of it when you don’t. At least when you do die (it’s inevitable sometimes) you’re not tooo heavily penalized. You just start back at the last continue point (which there’s plenty of most of the time) sans any ammo you used. Most of the time these points are next to vendor machines, so restocking ammo is rarely an issue.
I would definitely recommend Up Your Arsenal to any platforming fan. It’s a solid game with plenty of humor that will keep you entertained for hours. With that, I think I’ll go ahead and wrap this entry up and catch some much needed sleep.
