“In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks.”
So today we get an announcement of the predicted content patch for WotLK before the release of the expansion. Great news, I suppose, but I can’t shake this feeling that maybe they’re announcing this a little too early and whipping us into a frenzy for nothing. A quick glance at the WotLK Beta Rogue Forum will give you an idea that this content patch cannot be very “soon.”
Hell, they just recently opened up the cap to 80 and only have Wintergrasp half implimented. So how on earth can “coming weeks” mean anything but “coming months?” Rogue talents and skills are still only half implimented and some of them are completely borked. Pally seals are fubar and evidentally ‘locks are complaining like we rogues about the lack of tweaking.
This is also on the heels of what could be one of the largest buffs to a class for pvp ever with the Warrior pass. Holy shit, did you see what they did to the warrior talents? How on earth will any pvp warrior not go fury for the passive MS talent? Oh, and the completely ungimped and now horrendously OP Titan’s Grip? If these buffs go live, I sure hope there are some major surprises in store for rogues because now we’re super gimped for DPS.
Yet I’m starting to think that maybe this announcement will serve to give us some “WotLK” goodies before the end of the year because I have a feeling WotLK is going to slip into ’09. I have no problem with that, but I would like to know well in advance so I can properly request a week’s vacation so I can focus on school and WotLK.
